A Gem of a Story

Did summer go by as quick this year for you as it did for me? Well, if you’re still looking for a fun beach read, whatever the season, consider checking out my story “A Fairy Godmother’s Guide to the 21st Century,” now out in the summer 2024 edition of Dragon Gems.

The story is about an old fashioned fairy godmother trying to stay relevant to the increasingly independent, modern young women she serves. It was influenced by my own life, watching my baby girls grow into young ladies, and figuring out what that meant for both them and me, as it relates to my identity as a mother (and beyond it.) It was a fun, heartwarming tale to write, so I hope it strikes the same chord with you.
