ABOUT
Jamie M. Boyd is a writer and former journalist based in Florida. Her speculative fiction centers the natural world, relationships and weird details she blatantly steals (and then twists) from biology, anthropology and medicine.
Her short fiction is forthcoming or has appeared in Strange Horizons, Heartlines Spec, Shoreline of Infinity, Mysterion, Luna Station Quarterly and other anthologies of science fiction and fantasy.
As a newspaper reporter, she wrote for the St. Petersburg Times and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, where she won awards for feature, religion and education reporting and was part of the staff twice named finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news.
When she isn’t writing, Jamie loves exploring nature and traveling to wild new places with her family. She lives in Fort Lauderdale with her husband and three children. She blogs monthly here about books and writing. You can also follow her on on Bluesky @jamieboyd or X/Twitter @JmeBoyd.
